Who we are

Quedan Construction is a New York general contractor specializing in commercial interiors. We build offices, medical and dental practices, retail stores, restaurants and commercial kitchens across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau County, Suffolk County and Westchester.

We were founded on a simple observation: in New York, the hardest part of construction isn’t the building — it’s everything around it. Landlord approvals, building rules, freight elevators, permits, inspections, occupied floors and fixed opening dates. Clients don’t need a contractor who can only build; they need one who can manage all of it and still deliver on the day they promised.

That’s the company we built. Every Quedan project has a single accountable project manager, a superintendent on site every day, open-book budgets and weekly reports that show exactly where things stand. We plan every schedule backward from your move-in or opening date, order long-lead materials during design, and coordinate approvals in parallel so nothing waits on anything else.

How we work

We get involved early — ideally before you sign a lease — because that’s when the biggest risks are still cheap to fix. We evaluate spaces, price test fits, review work letters and flag the hidden costs that sink budgets later: insufficient HVAC or electrical capacity, plumbing stacks in the wrong place, asbestos, restroom upgrades or a kitchen exhaust route that doesn’t exist.

During construction, we treat your building like our own. We protect lobbies and corridors, respect work-hour rules, schedule noisy work after hours and keep neighbors informed. When we hand over the keys, the punch list is closed, inspections are passed and permits are signed off.
