Route 110 & Melville
Long Island's largest corporate office corridor, home to regional headquarters and professional firms in Class A office parks.
Nassau & Suffolk Counties
Corporate offices in Melville, medical practices in Lake Success and Stony Brook, retail at Roosevelt Field and restaurants from Huntington to the Hamptons.
Long Island is one of the largest and most varied commercial markets in New York. Nassau County offers dense office, healthcare and retail centers in Garden City, Lake Success and Uniondale. Western Suffolk is home to the Route 110 corridor in Melville and the Hauppauge Industrial Park. Central Suffolk has growing healthcare and university districts around Stony Brook and transit-oriented development at Ronkonkoma. And the East End supports a high-end hospitality and retail economy from Riverhead to Montauk.
Quedan Construction is a Long Island general contractor building offices, medical and dental practices, retail stores, restaurants and commercial kitchens across both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. For detailed Nassau coverage, see our Nassau County general contractor page.
We build corporate headquarters, professional offices and regional facilities in Melville, Garden City, Uniondale, Hauppauge, Lake Success and Islandia — coordinating landlord standards, office-park rules and local permits.
Long Island’s major health systems and private practices drive steady demand for medical construction. We build physician practices, dental offices, imaging suites and specialty clinics from Lake Success and New Hyde Park to Huntington, Stony Brook and Riverhead.
From Roosevelt Field and Smith Haven Mall to village downtowns and East End boutiques, we build stores and restaurants to brand standards — with schedules that respect seasonal deadlines in the Hamptons and North Fork.
Outside New York City, there is no single Department of Buildings. On Long Island, permits come from the town, city or incorporated village where your project is located, and projects follow the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code. In Suffolk, many sites are not connected to public sewers, so changes in use — particularly restaurants and medical offices — may require Suffolk County Department of Health Services wastewater review. We identify these requirements for your specific address before design begins.

Local know-how
Long Island has no single building department. Permits are issued by the town, city or incorporated village where the project is located. Nassau has 3 towns and 2 cities; Suffolk has 10 towns — plus dozens of villages across both counties.
Long Island projects follow the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code and NYS Energy Code, not the NYC Construction Codes.
Many Suffolk sites are not connected to public sewers. Changes in use — especially restaurants and medical offices — may require Suffolk County Department of Health Services review of sanitary flow and wastewater systems.
Hamptons and North Fork projects often must be completed before the summer season, and some villages restrict construction during peak months. We plan schedules around these windows.
